The Basic Rubber Mat is designed for high-traffic areas under playground equipment to limit the loss and displacement of loose-fill kick-out areas on the playground. Each mat features a shock-attenuating rubber surface that offers long wear, accessibility, and low maintenance. Mats are 2 inches thick and available in various sizes for specific uses. The 6-foot long mat works best with swings, while smaller mats work well with slides and climbers. This mat does not include beveled edges and should be buried level with the surfacing to eliminate a tripping hazard. Beveled edge swing mats are also available at a slightly higher cost and do not require burying.
