The Rochester play system: Made for Playing. Children will just blossom as they play on this play structure, made up of one 36 inch high elevated platform, and accessible by a pea pod climber and by stairs. Once on the elevated platform children can slide down a straight slide for a fun way off of the play structure. A gear panel borders the elevated platform, providing children with the fun opportunity to use their hands and play. Bongos are found on the ground level of this play structure providing children with the opportunity for on-ground and hands-on play, letting children explore their musical abilities, and also making the Rochester play structure ADA compliant. This play structure can hold up to 11-13 children, has a fall height of 3 feet, and weighs a total of 650 pounds. This play structure is designed for children who are between the ages of 2 and 12 years old.
Younger children will love the Rochester play center as it combines all of the fun things kids enjoy including climbing, sliding and making music. The Pea Pod Climber provides a challenge for small bodies as they have to navigate their way up onto the structure using alternating foot platforms. This kind of maneuvering assists with coordination skills as well as balance and grip. When they reach the top they can be rewarded with a colorful and interactive Gear Panel that can be twisted with a central knob to show them how multiple cogs can work together. Kids can also make use of the Straight Slide on the Rochester which delivers them quickly to the ground level where they can play on the Bongos and learn about rhythm and beats. It’s important that children’s imaginations are stimulated from an early age and it’s easy to pretend the structure is a mountain to climb or a spaceship ready to take off.
